Kate had her 4 month appointment today. In addition to ouchy shots, she was also weighed and measured:
17lbs (97th %)
25-3/8" (85th %)
16-1/2" (80th % - head)
We also got the go-ahead to start solids in a month or so...yikes!!

It's Christmas Time!
The Grandmas both joined us this weekend to decorate our Christmas tree. Kate is now fascinated by tree - the lights & ornaments. She especially loved a glass bell with a lovely chime.

I love when my Grandma visits!
Last weekend we went to brunch at Liberty Tavern and I got to check out the coffee cups. This weekend we are decorating the Christmas tree! I love when she holds me and rocks me to sleep!

Sleep - Oh Beautiful Sleep
We've really had our ups & downs lately with sleep. Kate was sleeping in 4-5 hour stretches at night before the serious teething kicked in - it was very manageable. Then it dropped down to just 2-3 hour stretches when her gums were really bothering her - which was rough.
One evening it was so bad though that I gave her Tylenol and she slept for 6 hours straight! And in this picture (another Tylenol night) she slept in until 9:30am! She *always* wakes up by 7 or 8. Tylenol definitely helps but I want to use it sparingly.
Fortunately the teething has been getting better over the last few days and last night she slept really, really well. She slept for 7 hours straight (!) - without Tylenol (!!). Yes - SEVEN hours!! Unfortunately we didn't fall asleep ourselves until halfway through that, but that gives us much hope for a future of restful nights!!
Did I mention just how much I love to sleep myself? ;)

Denim Day Playgroup
Most of the babies got the memo about wearing denim at yesterday's playgroup. :)
Kate is wondering what she needs to do to get Max's attention (it seems like he has a big crush on Julia). Maybe a little less drool on the overalls next time? What's a girl gotta do around here?

4 Months Old!
It's hard to believe that Kate is four months old already! Time has been slipping away faster than we could have imagined (perhaps due to lack of sleep?).
Hope that the next four months are just as happy!

It's Finally Winter!
We were all happy to see the first snowfall of the year - even Kate! Not so happy to see the ice and dirty slush later though...
